Sumba Island is part of The Lesser Sunda Islands, that's located in East Nusa Tenggara Province. It's not that famous among the pleasure seekers, but when they know about this island, of course, it's gonna be on the top list to be visited.

Sumba is one of the few places in the world where megalithic burials are used as a 'living tradition' to inter prominent individuals when they die. The richness of their original traditions, the way of the local lives, and of course its surreal views are things that you can't experience it anywhere else.

TRAVASS LIFE will bring you on a four days surreal journey through the savannah, hills, waterfalls, and endless scenic road. We open a trip for groups of true wanderers to experience all the authenticity and mesmerised by the charm of this island. Trekking through the grassland to Tanggedu Waterfall, visiting the local village like Ratenggaro Village, dipping into Weekuri Lagoon, feel the freedom at Puru Kambera Savannah, and taste the local cuisine. A surreal journey like we mentioned before. Last but definitely not least, we also provide you a personal photographer in the group to capture your moments while you're enjoying your moments!

DAY 01

Ratenggaro Village - Bawana Beach (West Sumba)

The car will pick you up at Tambaloka Aiport (Waikabubak, West Sumba) then drop you off at the hotel. Then we're heading to Ratenggaro Village to see the original house of Sumba and people. It's a village where you'll be amazed by its authenticity.

Before dark, we're heading back home to watch the sunset at Bawana Beach. Then have dinner to try the local food in Waikabubak.

DAY 02

Weekuri Lagoon - Lapopu Waterfall (West Sumba) - Wairinding Hill (East Sumba)

Get ready then we're heading to Weekuri Lagoon and you can swim in this turquoise lagoon. After that, we're heading to Lapopu Waterfall, then to East Sumba (around 3 hours car ride).

Watching the sun goes down at Wairinding Hill, you'll be amazed straight away by its beauty. Then spend the night at East Sumba.

DAY 03

Tanggedu Waterfall - Pura Kambera Savanna - Walaikiri - Persaudaraan Hill (Milky Way)

We're gonna start the day earlier then going to Tanggedu Waterfall by passing the most incredible view of this island (don't sleep in the car! You'll be amazed by your surroundings!). Then trekking to the waterfall before we go to the savannah where you can meet many wild horses there.

To end the wonderful day, we're gonna watch how the day turns to the night at Walaikiri Beach, where you can see the sun goes down behind the dancing trees.

At night time, we're open for any travelers who want to come along to see the Milky Way at Persaudaraan Hill.

  • The road to Tanggedu Waterfall usually on construction and it’s impossible to get there.

  • Route can be changed to other destinations depend on the field situation and the nature condition.

Day 04

Kalu Tenun Village - Praliu Village - Back to Waingapu

It's our last day but the adventure is not over yet. Today we're going to visit the village who made the authentic Tenun Sumba. You can see how they make all the fabrics and the stories behind every pattern.
